Black History Month 2026
Celebrating Black History, Culture & Legacy in McKinney
McKinney Black History Month is an annual celebration honoring the achievements and contributions of African Americans locally and nationally. Through dynamic events—including keynote speakers, cultural exhibits, live performances, college prep, and community discussions—we educate, inspire, and engage the community. In partnership with local organizations, churches, and schools, we create meaningful experiences that highlight Black culture, heritage, and the ongoing pursuit of justice. Your support helps expand our impact. Consider donating or becoming a sponsor to celebrate and preserve this rich history.

Won’t it be wonderful when Black history and Native American history and Jewish history and all of U.S. history is taught from one book. Just U.S. history.
—Maya Angelou
