Black History Month 2025
The McKinney Black History Month program is an annual celebration held in McKinney, Texas, to honor and recognize the contributions and achievements of African Americans, both locally and nationally. The program includes a variety of events such as educational workshops, cultural exhibits, performances, and community discussions, designed to educate and engage the public about Black history. We partner with local organizations, churches, and schools to host these events, ensuring the involvement of the community in a meaningful way. Each year, the program features keynote speakers, live performances, church events, college prep, and exhibitions that showcase Black culture, heritage, and the ongoing fight for civil rights.

Residents of North Texas are encouraged to visit the city of McKinney this February to enjoy signature events and programs scheduled to honor, celebrate, and uplift the contributions of African Americans to the culture and society in McKinney and the surrounding area. Except for two ticketed signature events, all McKinney Black History Month activities are free and open to the public.
